Site Building Services
Want to build a website from scratch? Or does your old website need an upgrade? I can help!
I’ve been interested in web design, using free drag and drop website builders since childhood. As an adult, I’ve built 8 professional websites using WordPress for myself or for others. I have experience using other website builders like Wix, Google Sites, Squarespace, and I’m also confident creating promotional material via Canva, Paint, and Vistaprint.
This website, Chromatic Dreamers, was created in September 2021 and was made to promote my rookie anime band with the same name. Not only did I build the website from scratch, but I wrote over 200 articles in my niche: beginner musicians, bands, and anime fans. My most popular articles are in the Japanese music theory arena, and it makes sense as I didn’t have any real competition in that sector. I assumed that meant no one cared for it, but I was frustrated as I was previously looking for it and couldn’t find anything, so I was eager to fill that hole in resources.
I focused on SEO (Search Engine Optimization), writing relevant and useful articles as I wanted to get passive traffic and hopefully passive income as well. Within a year, this blog was getting over 20,000 views mainly through Google, and it almost hit 30,000 views the following year. Not bad at all for a micro-niche that I assumed no one would read when I started writing about it. And as November 2024, the blog’s 3rd year, I have made over $4000 in passive income through eBooks, course sales, ad revenue, and subscriptions. And that is way more than the $1000 or so I invested into the blog (hosting, logos, translation services).
With time, I have no doubt I will continue to make more passively through this website, and I have no doubt any website can become profitable, even making 5 or 6- figures if they build their website correctly. Let me teach you how to go about it!
Why My Services
Are Different & Better
There are many people out there who will promote website building services without having a successful website of their own. While having the knowledge to build a WordPress website is certainly great, it can only help so much if not done with the right approach. If they didn’t pay attention to keywords, or search phrases, or other backend stuff, it may never show up on search engines, or may even crash within a few months.
Additionally, many people who offer these services will promise to make you a lot of money fast if you use them, but where’s the proof? They claim to be able to help others be profitable, and they may have a lot of 5-star reviews, but how do you know if those testimonials are real? Even if they are real, many sites require people to leave reviews right away, before ever seeing results or lasting results. If the service provider is only rich thanks to the course they are offering to you, how can you trust them with your brand’s long-term success?
For example, I have a friend who purchased a course from an influencer that made the promise that ‘you can design calendars, sell it on Etsy, and make a decent income!’ She did what the course said, but only made a sale from her husband and me. I told her ‘yes, the influencer is rich, but did she make that money from selling calendars alone, or is her income from influencing? Yes, she has a lot of sales on Etsy, but she was already an influencer before that, and thus drove her fans to buy her calendars. You can’t expect the same success as a nobody’.
For my older failed websites, I fell victim trying these services myself before hearing her story. I paid someone to make an affiliate website for me. Many Fiverr sellers were saying you can make passive income fast with one, so I bought a whole new domain and they put it together for me. The only thing is, it wasn’t getting any traffic, and thus, no money. I also paid for SEO services or to boost my views/visitors, and I would see instant results….but then it would die back down within a couple weeks or months. They are a waste of time and money.
I also tried a blogging coach who reached out to me, got me on a call to ask me questions but not sharing any real information or tips, and gave me a limited-time offer I couldn’t resist. I was given her drip-release course that took 6 weeks, and then she started making a personalized program for me. At the end of it, she never once touched my blog, and instead, tried to make me a coach like herself, so I dropped out. I had a full time job and wouldn’t have the time for coaching, nor did I feel qualified to be one so my integrity wouldn’t have it. The money was gone, but at least I learned my lesson.
Some of these services may even be the death of your website/blog as they will attract bots, fake comments, and wonky stats that will cause Search Engines to not trust your website. If you pay for others to write articles for you, they may be plagiarizing other articles, or nowadays, they may be using AI or ChatGPT to write generic posts. Search spiders will pick up on that too and penalize you as well. I wrote every single article myself, sharing my own experiences and knowledge, or doing a lot of research to write something deeper and complete. Not only did Search Engines realize my content was valuable, but so did my readers.
If you want a successful blog or website, you NEED to stand out amongst the crowd. Not only do you need to provide something new or something deeper, but you also need to be authentic and trustworthy. If you want a website that gets traffic on its own without you constantly promoting and posting it everywhere, and you want to built your email list of people who actually really love you and your content, you NEED to be willing to play the long game. You NEED to built authority through valuable content and work your way up search ranks.
There are basic resources that no one ever told me about, but I found through my own research and digging. I initially paid a lady to help index up to 5 links, and I probably used her services 4 times before realizing I could submit all these myself for free. I don’t want you to go through this alone and struggle like I did. I’ll share all I can with you so you can manage your blog yourself and be on a successful path. It WILL require work. You WILL have to put in the hours into writing and promoting yourself, but once the traffic starts flowing, you’re set, possibly for life!
So if you’re looking for someone to build your site who actually has built her own successful website and has seen the light on the other side, I’m your girl! I can also review, edit, proofread your website, or be your consultant for SEO and monetization streams!

Dream Chaser
Creating This Blog & Rising In Search Rankings Organically
Here’s a bit more about my website journey and why I feel confident promoting these services now. I first attempted my first real blog when I was a young adult. I used a free website that allowed you to design and post. I was so excited that I drafted at least 30 articles in the self-improvement/goal-achievement niche. A few weeks later, the website went down. I assumed it would be temporary, but it never went up again. Everything was lost and I was discouraged. I knew then that if I wanted to be a serious blogger, I would need to own my own website and have full control.
In early 2020, after helping a friend through a serious breakup, I realized I had a lot of advise on how to enjoy the single life and thought it was a good niche with not that much competition, so I took a chance and bought my first domain through BlueHost. It was called The Single’s Handbook. Once I saw the backend of WordPress, I was flabbergasted. I didn’t know what half the words meant or where to find certain options, so I opted to find a website builder on Fiverr. The final results wasn’t bad, but it was pretty plain and generic. They weren’t available for assistance after delivery, but I was able to analyze what they did and learn to edit basic things like text and font colour. I ran out of article ideas pretty quickly, so I didn’t work on it for long.
I changed careers into my true childhood dream job in late 2018, and I started writing unique, valuable articles for people in my field on LinkedIn. I quickly gained a lot of attention and fans, so I decided to purchase a domain under my real name and post them there instead. I also paid for someone to build a site for me, but it ended up looking very old and tacky, like a 90s website. This was when I really took charge and rebuilt my own website from scratch. The first one wasn’t half bad, but I felt I could do better and purchased a theme that required a bit more coding, but it ended up looking really cool and modern. Anyways, through my writing, not only did I gain a following and even found a better job at a much bigger and older agency, but I was also asked to be a guest writer for 3 other websites, and gained money through writing.
My next website was called Protagonist Academy. I realized how much I achieved and how many dreams I crossed off my bucket list just by having confidence and taking that leap of faith. As an anime fan, I thought it would be cool to teach others how to be the main character in their life, so it was in the self-improvement/goal-achievement niche. This was the first time I build a website on my own from scratch and it probably only took a few days to get it up and running smoothly. I used a dark theme (similar to this one), but asked a newbie blogger Facebook group for a second opinion on the design.
This was when the blogging coach approached me. She said she had amazing tips to share and got me on a call. She asked me questions but was secretive about her tips. She then made me an offer I would be stupid to refuse. I couldn’t think about it because she was going to raise her prices soon, so I took a chance. As I also said above, she lied about everything. She lied about how long it would take for me to make thousands, and about what we were going to work on.
The whole reason I was blogging was to help others and hopefully one day make passive income, but she wanted me to be a coach, to find people myself, and to make their lives better. The thing is, I had a main job that is flexible but also unpredictable, so I wasn’t trying to find another job. Additionally, my integrity wouldn’t allow me to pray on desperate people and promise them something I couldn’t guarantee….so I dropped out. But if there’s one thing I learned from her, it’s that I don’t need to play the slow blogging game, anything can be profitable in a shorter time with the right approach.
I stopped blogging for almost a year, and in that time, I started playing guitar more as I had plans of putting a rookie anime band together and to finally cross that last dream on my bucket list. The pandemic was still causing lockdowns, so I couldn’t meet and find a group of dedicated people until June 2021. After a few rehearsals together, I asked them the question, “do they want to take the casual path (promote on social media and do some gigs like open mics and conventions), or the serious path (website, business cards, photoshoots, make money from shows and weddings)?”. They said serious so I purchased and built this website, Chromatic Dreamers.
Since were were lacking in skills, I knew we had some time before we were ready to perform, but I wanted to use that time to promote us and gain a following by the time we were ready. Since I already did a lot of research on SEO beforehand, I started writing like crazy. Since the blog was also focused on goal achievement (getting a band on stage), I was also able to republish some posts from previous websites that I really loved. I would share updates on our band and things I learned on the way. I was especially passionate about Anime music and Japanese music theory as there were barely any articles in that niche when I was looking into it. I’d also write articles like easy anime songs for beginners and local events for otakus.
Since no one else was writing about these things, i didn’t think there was a market for it. Honestly, I would have been happy if 10 people took a look, but to my surprise, it quickly grew from 10, to 1000, to 10,000, and almost hitting 30,000 views in a single month! Because work was slow and I had so many ideas for articles, I quickly wrote 200 articles in the first 2 years. I noticed my Japanese music articles were getting more views than my general guitar/music/band articles which would have more competition, so I started focusing more on that.
When it came to monetization, I did attempt affiliate marketing first, adding links to guitar or music products that I personally used and found useful, but I didn’t make any sales. I knew there were many other websites ranked higher than me in the general guitar and music market. So once I feel I really had a grasp on Japanese music theory, I created my second eBook for Japanese music progressions, and it has sold over 50 so far! When I was later gifted a DAW, i had a tool where I could make musical samples and built the Japanese music theory course, and at $84/USD. It has made over $2000 in its first year. I have made other sales for dictionaries, and have a couple monthly supporters, but those are my best sellers. And to be fair, I made one commission as an affiliate through GuitarTricks, but sales from being an authority figure in Japanese Music Theory has clearly been more profitable for me.
When it came to ads, I was considering waiting for the right amount of views to apply for bigger ad networks, but due to my micro-niche, my cap for views is about 30K. I first tried Ezoic which has no minimum views and gives you full control, and I liked the idea but when it was installed, my embedded videos didn’t load at all, and that’s a critical error for a music website. I contacted support, but none of their advice would help, and people were commenting on it, so I cut it off. I waited almost a year later to try out Monumetric. They wanted to make my website a bit more spammy, with popups and videos and such, but I restricted them as I personally hate ads and would hahte to ruin the user experience. I’m happy to make any passive income, and I generally make $25-40/month through them, but I have no doubt a more popular niche can make hundreds or thousands if they’re serious.
This website is still only in it’s 3rd year, and considering I only started to seriously work on monetization in the 2nd year, making $4000 passively in that time as a single new blogger isn’t shabby at all. I followed the rules of the SEO game, and people have found my articles informative and encouraging. I’ve had to do my own building, research, editing, and promo, and I know it’s a lot of work especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. Thus, I want to help you get your website off the ground and give you the inside scoop on where to go and what to expect as you prepare your website the right way.

My Website Porfolio
In this short time, I’ve also built or edited websites for other people. A family member then had a couple friends who had their own businesses and he asked if I could build websites for them. The first was for a car detailing shop. They said they wanted something pretty clean, but with a bubble look, so I found the perfect theme for them and got to work. I also finished it in under a week.
Then one of their friends also requested a landing page for their shop. They had a logo and wanted something cool, hippy, trippy even. I found a font that I felt matched their logo, and figured out how to get a moving background as I felt that would be more psychadelic.
My band and I also decided it was time for a rebrand. I blogged so much that the name, Chromatic Dreamers, was pretty much associated with me, but I wanted us as a band to have our own identity and to work under new leadership. We all came up with the new name Gimme Mochi, and I built a website under the new leaders account. It only took me a couple hours to get it up and running.
When I was asked to volunteer for a church plant’s music ministry as a guitarist, they led me to their website for a link to their Zoom meetings, but it was broken. I then browsed around and noticed other outdated information and broken links. I told them in detail all the typos and errors I could find. They had someone outside the church build it and they were hard to reach.
Later, they took down that site and decided to make a new one with Google Sites as it was easier for them to edit internally. Since they are quite busy pastoring and they had a baby to take care of, they asked my to build it. The old website with their text was down and they didn’t have access to it, but I was able to find it through Internet Archives. I then built a website they were happy with within a couple of hours.
Even when I’m not asked to edit or build a website, I know a lot goes into it and we aren’t able to keep an eye on it all the time (updates can happen or things break without noticing) so if I’m visiting someone else’s website for research on an article and I intended to reach out to them for more information already, I would let them know about things that need fixing or editing.

My Website Services
Build Brand New Website
$75 / Hour (5-15 Hours Average)
If you just bought a domain and the website is brand new, or you have a website but will like to start over and make it look completely different, this is the package for you. We will have a call/chat about your vision for the website, and you will be asked to fill out a Google doc form with all the other details, texts, links, logos and photos that you would like me to use on your website. After I have access to your website, we will find a theme/background that you like before I start working.
I will find a theme that you like, and create up to 10 new pages for you. I will insert any text you like and/or can even fill in the blanks if I understand your brand well enough to do so. I will insert logos, photos, social media links, and can create necessary promotional media on Canva. I will ask for your opinion throughout the project to ensure you like the placement, sizes, and layout of your new website. By the end, your website will be ready to share with others. While I can built a website from scratch within a couple days (4-8 hours), please allow me at least 5 business days, or up to 10 business days during the summer season as my main job has me more occupied then.
If you’re completely new to website building and don’t feel confident taking it up where I left off, for an additional $150, I can provide a detailed document guide to help you navigate the backend so you can update and make changes on your own. I will also include a 2-week follow up period for you to ask questions so you’d feel more comfortable with WordPress, or to request changes while I still have access to your site.
Update Existing Website
$75 / Hour (3 Hours Minimum)
If you already have an established website that you just want to upgrade, edit, or rearrange and you don’t have the time or confidence to make those changes yourself, you can check out this deal. Because every website is built differently, with a variety of themes, plugins and widgets, I will require at least an hour or two to set myself to view your website, and to familiarize myself with your brand and the backend. If you are hoping to rebuild your website into a whole new theme with new pages and many new ideas, it still requires as much effort as a brand new website, but the content, media, and some plug-ins can be reused, thus saving me a bit of time.
SEO Consultation
$250 / Consultation
If you don’t need help building your website, but are looking for help on indexing pages, finding the right keywords, competing with similar sites and building your rank on Google, I will give you true and honest advice and guidance so your site can start climbing ranks organically.
I’ll give you a free tip right now. To win at the search engine game, you need to make relevant, reliable, and informative articles, and you need to focus on what people are actually looking up. People won’t be looking up you or your brand if you’re a nobody, but if your article matches their search results, and they found that your content was authentic and helpful, they won’t hesitate to bookmark it or even check out your other content.
My home page didn’t get much views in the first couple of years, but now it is my #1 page as people have gotten familiar with it. My content is all original, never plagiarized, nor written by bots, and Google has given me authority thanks to do that. Many of my articles are in the top 5 spots! I don’t even have to wait or submit my articles to be indexed, Google will do it automatically because I’m a trusted website that always has valuable content, but I was also smart about what I wrote about.
Let me help you find out what sub-niches or topics others have yet to really reach in your field. I’ll review your current articles, and share how you can improve them so they’d stand out amongst the crowd. I’ll also share other details you may not know to actually get your content ranking on search engines faster! It is a slow game regardless, but if you do it write, you can get on the first page of results sooner rather than never.
Monetization Consultation
$350 / Consultation
If you have yet to attempt monetizating your website, or you’ve tried a few things but they aren’t bringing in any or much income, it may be worth getting a consultation.
For me, I tried affiliate marketing first, but it didn’t work as I didn’t have the traffic yet. I then tried eBooks, and my first one or two for guitarists didn’t sell, and I believe it’s because I didn’t have the traffic, and there are bigger guitarists that have established products. But when I made my Japanese music progression book, something that didn’t exist before, I started seeing regular sales. And when I saw that people were willing to buy a book on the topic, I later made an in-depth course and that too did really well for sales.
Ad Networking is obviously a very popular way to monetize, but you don’t want to do it too soon and be stuck with Google ads which pays very little and makes your website look very spammy. Additionally, Ads only pay well if you already have traffic coming to your blog, and some ad networks won’t take you unless you already have 10K, 50K, or 100K visitors a month. While this consultation isn’t focused on SEO, we can discuss it a bit if we both think that Ads are one of the best ways to monetize your blog. It’s certainly worth it as domains and hosting costs a lot, so even if you’re a casual blogger like me, it’s comforting to know your site can pay for itself, and that you can treat yourself after all the time and effort you’ve invested into it.
So for this consultation, I will need a bit more time to learn about you, your brand, your current stats and success, your available time, financial goals and so on. I may also need time to research your specific niche, check out stats with other blogs in that niche, and also see what your competitors are doing.
I will then recommend a few monetization ideas that may be right up your alley, such as digital products (eBooks, courses), physical products, services (art work, commissions, coaching), ad networking, affiliate marketing, guest blogging, sponsorships, subscriptions, social media, and so on. You can pick a few that you would like to pursue based on your personality and time availability, and I will give you the inside scoop on where to go, places to apply, and how to promote those products.
Website Proofreading
$25 / Page
Do you have a website up already but just want different eyes to review it? There are just so many pages, so many links, so many things to update as your business changes. Naturally, you may forget to update your contact email, or your Instagram handle, or your hours of service. Or perhaps you’re not the best writer or not a native English speaker, so you may think your paragraphs sound good but it’s a bit hard for others to read and understand. Point is, a second pair of eyes is always great!
On top of basic information and ensuring all your links go where it needs to go, I will also look at formmating and other details. Does your menu blend in with the background like this website I came across? I will not only point it out to you, but offer suggestions, such as changing the menu text, changing the photo, or even making the photo dimmer so the white text still stands out.
Maybe your logo isn’t centered, or colours are clashing on the page. Maybe you wanted a modern look but I find it looks quite childish. Maybe the text changes too much throughout the page, from Times New Romans to Calibri, from size 16 in one section to size 12 in another. Maybe it’s double spaced in one area, but single spaces in another. Indented here but not there. Maybe your ads are just too much and I can’t even navigate it without getting frustrated. I will notice all these small details and report on it.
So if you’re looking for a fresh set of eyes to review your website as a newbie, to edit your English, correct your formatting, suggest ways to make it more attractive, or how to make certain sections stand out, let me help!
