We have survived to see another year, but who knows about 2022. I’m an optimistic person, and while I stayed indoors 98% of the time the last 2 years, I was hoping 2022 would be my chance to be free and cross more things off my bucket list.
Here in Ontario, we were doing well Covid wise since summer. It allowed me to find members and for us to practice a couple times a month. I’m thankful we made progress and got to record a lot of content…
But in the span of a couple weeks, we went form less than 500 cases a day to 5000+. Although 80%+ of the country is vaccinated, it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. Who knows how bad it’s going to get and if we will be put under lockdown again*.
Regardless, the band will be taking a bit of a break. We’ll practice at home, but safety first. Health first. Progress doesn’t matter if one of us, all of us, and/or our family and loved ones get sick. Your age and your natural immunity doesn’t guarantee anything.
Even so, I’m still going to keep dreaming and hoping. I’m going to keep practicing and working hard on this blog from home. I’m still going to make the most of the time I have everyday.
If you have dreams or resolutions for the next year, don’t let Covid get in the way. There is always things you can do to make progress, or to improve yourself.
Thanks to the internet, you can always learn, can always connect with others, can always promote your projects or even build your own business.
Don’t lose hope. This virus will end one day.
Stay safe and happy new year!
Sincerely, Nostalgia~<3
