Hello! I’m Nostalgia. I’ve been a big Japanese Music Fan since 2006 and was always attracted to how different it sounded. 
I took music through school, so I’ve dabble in other instruments, sang in choir, and performed with my school’s drumline. 
I still had an unfulfilled rock band dream, so in 2020, I picked up guitar to bring that dream to life, and found a full band in 2021.
I created this website to document the journey and share all I’ve learned along the way.  

In 2022, the  Chromatic Dreamers rookie anime cover band project achieved their goal of getting on stage, and we got to play at an anime convention and a Jpop event. The following year, the singer ‘Cloud’ and I reunited as a duo called ‘Natsukashii Kumo’ (Nostalgic Cloud). Within the span of 4 months, we recorded a few covers, had a full set at an anime convention, and also got to perform at the biggest Japanese festival in Canada! 

At the beginning of 2023, I was born again and returned to my Christian faith seriously. Here is My Testimony. Having lost interest in secular music and wanting to focus more on my spiritual walk, I told God ‘I wouldn’t play guitar again unless for Him’. 6 months later, at the beginning of 2024, a church plant in the city over asked me to play guitar for them, so I served there 8 months playing CCM (Christian Contemporary Music). I also discovered countless Japanese Christian artists, and created articles to promote them, started writing articles to encourage my otaku brothers and sisters in Christ, and continued to release Jpop-inspired Christian Background Music when I feel inspired. You can check my releases on Key2Nostalgia’s Music page.

In 2025, after joining a local Baptist church that only plays hymns, I was inspired to dust off my ocarina that I bought over a decade prior.
I’ve always had the time to memorize my music, but now I was challenged to learn to read sheets more proficiently. After over a year of playing and feeling confident on the instrument, I considered where else I could play and serve so I would continue to grow on the instrument, and thus started my Virtual Hymn Musician Service to serve the sick, elderly, isolated, and dying who would benefit most from these beautiful Christian hymns.
