Finding new Japanese music and artists can be quite difficult! Most of us manage to find a few songs and artists thanks to anime but digging deeper can be quite difficult, especially if you don’t know the language to navigate around.
If you have Spotify, definitely check out my article on the best Spotify playlists. But if not, I’ve dedicated the site’s channel to creating sampler playlists to help others find what they are looking for.
I’ve collected one or two songs from every artists I can find who fits that genre, so you can get a feel for what Japan has to offer and also find more artists you may be interested in hearing more from. You can access these playlists directly below.

I also got many other playlists to discover, such as Mirrored Jpop Dances, Japanese Music Theory, and Jpop Backing Tracks, so definitely check them out and consider subscribing to the channel for updates and future playlists ^_^
Additionally, I’ve saved other amazing playlists from other channels that I figured people may be looking for. My subscriptions are also public so you can find other useful channels, such as Music Theory Teachers and Japanese Record Labels.
And if you really want to dig more into Japanese music, check out my Japanese Music Resources page where I’ve compiled all my J-music and anime music articles, and also check out my Facebook group “Let’s Study Japanese Music”
