Looking for a rehearsal space for your new or established band? There are quite a few around the city, so don’t worry about finding a home!
I have looked far and wide for studios and I’ve done my best to compile them all, including details you may like to know! I’ve done my best to contact some ahead of time for additional photos and details about instrument rentals and performance spaces. I’ve also included closest intersections to save you time from research.
This list only includes rehearsal spaces that can accommodate a group of musicians, and thus they are usually soundproofed and almost always have a drumkit of their own. This list does not include ‘rehearsal spaces’ that were designed for rappers, singers, or producers. This also doesn’t focus on recording studios, though if a rehearsal space happens to be equipped for recording, notes are made about that.
If this is your first time renting a rehearsal space, be sure to check each location’s FAQ page and give them a call. Most have a 2-hour minimum (prices below are per hour, so you will double that price), some require deposits or a credit card, and some are more flexible than others. Be sure to check out my other article, What To Bring To A Rehearsal Studio, so you don’t show up unprepared and waste time and money.
SERIOUS NOTE: Some studios like Edadic Music are listed as Permanent Closed on Google. For others, Yelp and Google indicate that they are still operating, but social medias are dead and their phone lines are disconnected, as was the case for 76A/Encore Studios and Decibel House.
Rehearsal Factory has officially closed all their locations in 2024, and some of their locations have been taken over by Mainstage and Lynx. I couldn’t find much information on Ratspace nor any photos when I initially added them, but they at least had a website; however, when I did an update in September 2024, their website is no longer available and no one answered their phone, so I have since removed them.
All that to say, I have only included rehearsal studios that I know for a fact are open, or at least my findings would have me believe they are still operating. Any spaces left blank (?) indicate that they don’t mention or display it on their website/socials, and I haven’t been able to reach them to ask.
If you run or work at any of these places, feel free to contact me or leave a comment to update or add details. I’m happy to promote any business that helps keep the music business alive in our city 🙂

Our studio offers acoustically treated rooms fully equipped with well maintained guitar amps, bass amps, full drum kits (including cymbals), PA system, mixers, mics & music stands. See our ‘Chambers’ page with rates, photos and descriptions.”
Jam Chamber has been my band’s rehearsal hub as it was close to home (North York). It is definitely a big space with many rooms. We’ve never had an issue booking a space here. Note that while the 107 bus will drop you off the closest, that line only has 1 or 2 buses an hour, so plan accordingly!

Primal Studio is still pretty new on the block, but don’t let that fool you. They got amazing rooms, a vibrant performance space, free WIFI, snacks and refreshments shop, and an on-site audio engineer/tech that can help you shoot some live performance music videos!
Additionally, they have a cool rhythm gaming community space called Toronto Evolved with a bunch of musical/rhythm arcade games such as DDR (Dance Dance Revolution), Pop n’ Music, Sound Voltex and In The Grove!
[P.S. I’m a huge fan of Japanese rhythm games, I even wrote an article ranking my favourites. I was so sad to see rhythm arcade machines disappear around the city, especially when Pacific Mall renovated and changed into a kiddie prize arcade. I only got to visit a handful of times before then, usually to play Para Para Paradise. They still had Drummania and DDR last time I went, but all the other musical games were gone and replaced. I’m personally soooo happy to see this place bringing them back to town!]

According to their website “The Best Deal In Town Rehearsal Studios is state of the art rehearsal facility with 3 fully equipped music rehearsal spaces. Each rehearsal space has a lounge area with comfortable sofas and table and fridge with ice cold beverages.
“The walls are covered with acoustic foam, which greatly reduces reflections that cause annoying standing ways, resulting in clean and warm sound, eliminating ear fatigue. The acoustic foam, when properly positioned also reduces certain frequencies that make guitars and cymbals sound harsh and grainy, further improving the overall sound quality in our rehearsal studios. The studios are also soundproofed, which is specially important for acoustic bands and recordings, so you don’t have to listen the band next door during quiet parts or brakes.
“The key is attention to detail. In our rehearsal studios a musician has everything he or she needs right there, handy. Beside each amp there are 2 guitar stands, music stand and a stool where one can sit, or put beverage on, if one wishes so. For summer months there are powerful air conditioners available. In front of the building there is our own free parking area.”
