15 Early Intermediate Anime Songs To Practice Barre Chords

Mafuyu Given Anime Guitarist

If you liked my last post regarding easy anime songs, but you’re not an electric guitarist, don’t worry, I got you covered.

Songsterr is best for band instruments, so, for this article, I will be referring to Animes Chords who has a website and a Youtube channel for you to learn from. He really puts his all into all his videos so you can learn to strum or fingerstyle to the songs he uploads.

For the songs listed below, I considered speed, strumming patterns and of course, the use of patterns. I picked songs that weren’t too fast, where barre chords aren’t placed after each other all the time, and other chords aren’t too hard to adopt. They will offer you a challenge without making you feel like you want to give up.

Japanese music as a whole is very experimented with their chords, so slash chords, 7ths, diminished and half diminished (m7b5) are quite common. It can be a lot as a beginner, but that’s why it’s best to start somewhere. You reading this article shows that you have a willingness to go where many guitarists haven’t, and I know that will take you far ^_^
