Hello readers! Nostalgia here! I actually wasn’t planning to write or publish anything, but I have just been filled with inspiration and ideas over the last few days and I feel confident about the direction I would like to take this blog ^_^ Today is Easter Monday, or as some of us better refer to it as, Resurrection weekend, so this post is timely as well!
If you’re new here, read around and then come back. My main page has a good overview of everything you could find on this website, and my band project page will tell you everything from conception to fulfillment, rookie musicians not just getting on stage but performing at a festival. Otherwise, welcome back! <3
Beginning To Now
Quick summary, I picked up guitar about 4 years ago to make my childhood dream of ‘playing with a band on stage’ come to life. I’ve been watching anime forever and fell in love with Japanese music since middle school, so I knew that was the kind of music I wanted to play. There were no anime cover bands in Toronto, but there were certainly quite a few anime events, so I knew it was a great market for us.
I started blogging a couple months after getting a full band together (September 2021) with full confidence that it will work out this time around. During Summer 2022, we had our first couple gigs. The following year, the singer and I re-united as a duet and performed a couple more times. I’m very thankful to Dolly Momoiro, Pretty Heroes Convention, and Japan Fest for allowing us to play in front of our target audience.
But midway through this project, around new years 2023, I came to understand the reality of demons and felt a need to run back to God wholeheartedly. I grew up in the Seventh-Day Adventist church which is legalistic and has false doctrine at it’s roots (more details on my Christian Journal page), so while I was familiar with the bible, I couldn’t truly understand or believe in the gospel due to their false interpretations.
As I started to reflect on my sins around this time, I felt the weight and realized I couldn’t save myself by being good enough. I thought about what Jesus did and wanted to put all my faith in him for my salvation, and I was born again. It felt like my mind was wiped and I instantly lost interest in music. I preferred silence so I could focus more on God, and would rather watch or listen to educational Christian content than have music playing in the background all day everyday.
Is Japanese music bad? I will say that my views has certainly changed. I always defended Japanese music for their encouraging themes (chasing your dreams, being courageous, changing the world for the better), their focus on different types of relationships (like friends and family), and diving into a variety of emotions (ie. loneliness, betrayal, loss of a loved one). Compared to Western music that promotes sin like lust, fame, violence, pride, it was certainly more good and pure.
However, as I said in other posts, my singer kept nudging me to make another band. While I didn’t care to after some drama due to the betrayal of a member, I felt I owed it to her since she went out of her way to join my band and support the dream. The least I could do is allow her more time to actually practice her vocals and to cover more songs that she actually enjoyed, thus Natsukashii Kumo, Chromatic Dreamers Band Project 2.0.
During this period, I started to look up the translations of a lot of songs I loved and even new ones that she pitched. Most of the time, Japanese music is just something I feel. With the title, the instrumentation, the chord progressions, and the emotions of the singer, I can usually assume what the song is about without ever looking up the translation. I didn’t always have the internet at home growing up, so looking up lyrics and watching MVs with subs wasn’t something I could always do, but I loved the music regardless.
One common theme in Japanese music is self-dependence. Since youth, thanks to anime and Jmusic, I always felt I could achieve anything on my own with hard work, will power, and belief in myself. I would thank God for my blessings, but I never felt a need or reason to ask him for anything. So when I started to put more faith in God and learn to depend on him, I realized Japanese music was teaching something contrary to the bible.
Japan is rooted on Buddhism and Shintoism, so all their media will be influenced by those beliefs and ideas. While there are certainly times where the Japanese mindset and Christianity do align, such as caring about your neighbour and doing any job with all your might, it’s those small contradictions in views and intentions that leads people astray. Churches are doing yoga even though it is a hindu practice. Some are even mixing in divination, so there is a ‘Holy Spirit Ouija Board’ out there now.
Now, I was always fine with the band being a one time thing. Performing more didn’t make me more fulfilled in any way. Natsukashii Kumo was a great opportunity to get more songs off our chest and for me to build more confidence as a rhythm guitarist, but I didn’t have any future plans in that genre.
So I told God that if he allowed me to play at Japan Fest in August 2023, I would focus solely on him afterwards. I also said I would stop playing guitar unless my talents could be used for him. Thus, my 4-month long hiatus where I spent more time with God. I was also waiting around for the rapture as signs were high in September, and only accelerated when the war with Israel broke out in October.
I knew I had to find a new church and stop ‘forsaking the gathering of the saints’ (Hebrews 10:25), but I also didn’t want to vex my soul visiting unbiblical, worldly, and corrupted churches. It’s also really weird for me to go to church on Sunday after having gone on Saturday/Sabbath all my life. However, I did promise God that ‘if I saw 2024, I will get serious about the search’.
In January, the pastor of a church plant in the city over found my Bandmix page and messaged me on Instagram. They were desperate for musicians as they were borrowing them from other churches in the meantime.
After asking him some doctrinal questions and popping into their mid-week online meetings, I decided to check it out and have been playing there since. I certainly felt like God intervened so I would not only find a new church family, but could also use my newfound talents to serve him <3
The New Direction
I have kept details of my new church secret because I don’t want to exploit them for personal gain in any way. My acts of service is between me, God, and his church….but of course that meant I didn’t really have anything new to share on my Instagram or my blog. I also wasn’t feeling too inspired or motivated since I Still believed the world was going to end soon anyways.
But on March 8th, I was asked and hired to be the guitarist in a gospel artist’s music video that was being recorded the next day. I will share more about that experience in an article when the MV is officially released on April 20th, but it did get me thinking more about the need for Christian/gospel musicians, and I started feeling more motivated to work on my ear, learn improv, and actually learn CAGED in detail. I want to be ready for whatever comes my way.
And just a side note: last year I consecrated my platforms to God. It was actually a very hard decision as this blog was precious to me. I poured 100s of hours, and I do mean possibly over 1000 hours, along with all my heart and soul into building, writing, and promoting it. I was finally making some side income from it as well, which was something I’ve worked towards the last 3 years since I attempted my first blog.
Thus, the blog was somewhat of an idol to me, and I was scared of what God may to do it should I give him control over it. However, part of trusting and building faith in God is giving him ownership of everything in your life and allowing his will to be done. If he did take it away from me, while it would hurt and suck a lot, I also know it would be for my own good or the good of others. But if he didn’t remove it, it isn’t anything sinful or distracting, and can be used for his glory.
Clearly, the blog is still here, so God has allowed me to have it. I was happy to update my profiles and be more bold about my faith. As scary as it was at first. I wasn’t sure how people would take it, or if I’d suddenly lose a few hundred followers, but no real changes surprisingly. I also wrote a couple articles and shared all my wisdom on my journal page. But otherwise, I wasn’t really sure how to utilize this blog more for Him.
This blog was built on the theme of Guitar/Bands, Japanese Music, and Anime, and many articles combine all 3 of them. It is important for blogs to stick to a theme, otherwise, it can be very confusing to readers and search engines. This is also still one of the only English Japanese Music Theory blogs around, so I would still want readers to find the valuable content they need as a musician or songwriter.
I then had an idea to look more into Japanese-Christian music. I did a light search years ago, but mostly found translated covers and old, low quality videos. However, this time around, I actually found some original Japanese worship songs, and even some active bands! After you find a couple, it’s always easier digging deeper and discovering other Japanese artists through the recommended sections, so here’s to my new search!
I’ll be honest, while I am loving and digging the songs my church gave me to learn, repetitive 4-chord songs aren’t very fun to play. I know they are perfect for a congregation to sing to, and I love learning them to serve my church, I truly do! I even sing along and provide backup vocals! But as a guitarist, they don’t keep me as mentally engaged nor challenge me as much as Japanese music.
The long and unusual chord progressions are what made me fall in love with Japanese music in the first place. It makes my ears perk up and I have to listen a few times because it’s so unexpected and unpredictable. It took me years to figure out what the heck they’re doing theory wise! So I’m happy to have discovered new music that intrigues the musicians side of me while still being good and edifying for my soul <3 I’m looking forward to covering a few songs on my channel in following months!
One of those worship groups I found put out a video days ago talking about their vision and needs. I also rewatched an interview of a Japanese Christian who had dreams of being a gospel singer. While Japan is 2nd biggest music market in the world, I can only imagine what it’s like creating music for such a small religious population. I hope that I can interview people like these to help them gain more support from the West~
I then started to think about bringing the gospel or Japanese-Christian music to a convention in the future. While I’m aware faith-based panels has been done before, I wasn’t sure how regular it was, so I started researching and came across a good handful of articles about people’s first experiences, and how the turn out was better than expected. I have already connected with a few of them about an interview as well.
I’m just feeling so inspired now! I don’t know how long us Christians will still be around, and I was feeling lazy and unmotivated thinking ‘this could be our last week here’, but now I feel encouraged to keep running this race and share as much as I can until the very end so more can escape what is to come.
Why Sharing The Gospel Is Important
Despite Japan’s large population, less than 2% are Christians, and that is truly heartbreaking. They are known to be kind, gentle people who care about their neighbours, thus the very low crime and murder rate, yet they are lonely, heartbroken, stressed, and desperate for meaning, thus the high suicide rate.
In Japan’s history, Christianity was shut down and believers were persecuted, thus preventing the Christian growth as seen in other countries like South Korea. Japan is also on it’s own island and very few outsiders spoke the language, so outreach was always difficult; However God will always find a way to reach the lost in his perfect timing. I have noticed a boom in videos about missionary efforts in recent years.
Japan needs God, but so do a lot of otakus.
While I’m not speaking about everyone in the community, anime (along with gaming, cosplay, etc) can be a form of escape. Conventions can also be a place where many seek love, attention, and approval. Even if you’re generally seen as weird, obese, or unattractive, you can be accepted and even praised among other nerds. I felt safe performing in front of them as a rookie musician because I know how supportive and encouraging they could be.
But the genre in general promotes a lot of things God isn’t fond of like false gods, magic/divination, crossdressing, homosexuality, fornication (sex before marriage), and self-glorification/pride. There are quite a few series where the bad guys appear good and vice versa, and the Jpop idol genre is still booming. And yes, people actually idolize these idols, spending tons of money buying merch, attending concerts, and following everything they do.
Although I wasn’t influenced negatively by anime, (and actually found some biblical themes and inspirations that I share in my “12 Anime Tropes That Made Me A Better Christian” article), I cannot deny that people who never had a biblical foundation can be influenced and persuaded by the darker themes.
Just like how we say anime is ‘not just some cartoon’, it’s also ‘not just a show’ to many fans. We actually connect and relate to the characters, and feel inspired and touched by their stories, especially if it’s a longer series like Naruto and One Piece. For some, Anime is not just an escape, but a place of comfort, a place of motivation, a place of hope, and it becomes everything to them.
So what happens when you got popular characters who do magic (ie. Sailormoon), who are possessed with some kinda evil spirit (ie, Yuji from Jujutsu Kaisen), or are actually demons (ie. Inuyasha, Nezuko from Demon Slayer)? And what if you can be accepted or praised for imitating and exhibiting such traits? It only promotes everyone else around them to continue down that path.
It’s certainly a very tender place when it comes to evangelizing though. Not only are you dealing with people who may have been hurt by the church growing up, but you’re also dealing with people who may have not felt accepted or loved for their interests by the general public, so the anime community is something they’re willing to defend and fight for.
I’ve seen videos of street preachers popping up outside of conventions telling everyone that ‘they are going to hell’ and that’s certainly not the best approach. I don’t think we should hide the concept of hell and just tell everyone ‘Jesus loves you’, because they do need to know that they are sinners like everybody else, and are in need of a savior. However, you shouldn’t come out of the gate with judgement and hate, and with no understanding or interest in who they are or why they like what they like.
From what I’ve read and seen, there are people in the community willing to hear the gospel. Last year, I even came across a few videos of Vic Mignogna (a famous voice actor) hosting his own gospel panel over a decade ago. Of course people would listen to him, but I have found articles about the average joe feeling inspired to host their own faith-based panels and actually having a good turn out and positive responses.
I have found some content creators, websites, and channels that are actively bringing God to these nerd communities and are being a positive, loving, Christian representative.
I’m also really excited to join the efforts because every seed that could be planted matters, and every opportunity to water them is vital as well. If you’re a Christian otaku, I hope the new direction for this blog will inspire you to be bold and courageous as well when it comes to your faith <3
What Is The Gospel Anyways?
If you’re not a Christian, it’s not my goal to convert you. I already know that that is out of my hands. Despite all I could say as someone who grew up around many religions, took science, evolution, and philosophy in school, and studied theology and apologetics, it is a heart issue at the end of the day. If you don’t want to believe in God/Jesus, no amount of evidence or logic can change that.
But, just in case you have the wrong idea about Christianity (whether it’s from assumptions, lukewarm Christians sharing unbiblical ideas, growing up in a doctrinally-flawed church, getting ideas from shows that mock and spread misinformation [ie. Satan is never depicted as a red devil with horns, he’s a fallen angel]), let me share the most important parts so you can at least make an informed decision.
The gospel can be summarized in the most popular bible verse, John 3:16 which reads “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son (Jesus), that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Jesus is real. He is a known historical figure among historians and scholars, and has way more witnesses than many other figures like Alexander the Great. He, who we believe is God in the flesh, walked among us, teaching about God, healing the sick, casting out demons, and conducting other miracles like multiplying bread and turning water into wine.
But despite committing no sin nor breaking any laws, his own people (the jews) hated him and plotted for him to be crucified by the Romans who were at that time, in control of the jewish people. He was beaten, mocked, and then hung on the cross. When all hope seemed lost to those who believed in him, he was resurrected 3 days later, and was seen by many witnesses.
Jesus’s body isn’t here. Trust me, if it was, it would be preserved and paraded around to diminish any hope Christians have, because the world does not like Jesus/God. Even the bible says, if Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, our faith is in vain. We have no hope because Jesus would have been proven to not be God (1 Corinthians 15:12-19). But if he did rise again, we can look forward to the same after our death (Romans 6:1-11)
And because Jesus rose from the dead and has gone back to heaven, doing something no other human has done, I think it seems logical to at least listen to what he says. Jesus not only hinted and stated that he is God in the flesh, the promised messiah of the Jews, the one that all the old testament scriptures pointed to, but he also said he is the only way to heaven (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
Crazy and bold, I know. We all wanna hope that all paths lead to God/heaven, and that if you’re a good person, or has done more good than bad, you can look forward to a comfy afterlife…but here’s why Christianity is the only one that makes sense logically.
God is perfect and heaven is God’s home. He is not going to allow rebellious, sinful, wretched people into his home to ruin it. I don’t think anyone who looks forward to heaven are looking forward to another ‘hell on earth’ scenario, but that’s what we would turn it into if we stayed as we are. A lot of people think they are a good person, but according to the bible, none of us is good, not one (Romans 3:10-12).
God made us in his image to be his representatives on this planet that he gave us dominion of. Because of this, you can think of sin as anything God wouldn’t do, something outside of his character. Sin actually means ‘missing the mark’.
If you shoot an arrow at a target board, anything besides bullseye is technically missing the mark. Anywhere on the board may seem nice to us spectators, but the archer isn’t satisfied. So while we may appear good when compared to other people (especially when we can justify and defend ourselves about anything), God isn’t satisfied with our actions or lifestyles.
God is everything good imaginable, and thus, even ‘small’ ways in which we fail to reflect him, we are sinning, and are hurting ourselves, hurting others, or hurting the planet in the process. Whether that sin is external or internal, it still counts. Your thoughts control you at the end of the day, so that’s why Jesus said ‘even those who lust are guilty of adultery’ (Matthew 5:27-28).
Sure, you didn’t kill anybody, but you’ve definitely lied, probably stolen, more likely had sex before marriage or watched porn. People say ‘”well, God looks at my heart”, and that’s true! So you can also count the times you’ve been jealous, angry, selfish, prideful, and generally disobedient to Him.
Have you gossiped? Have you refused to give to the poor? Do you reject the idea of forgiving your enemies? Have you ever been lazy or gluttonous? Ever been drunk and not in-control of yourself? Those are all sins. While we may condemn murderers the most, and Christians may pick on the LGBT community, the point is, none of us are innocent or good when compared to God.
Additionally, if you didn’t know, the first commandment in the 10 commandments given to the Israelites is to ‘have no other gods before Him (Exodus 20:3). And in the new testament when Jesus was asked what is the greatest law, He reiterated this point by saying ‘the most important law is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind’ (Matthew 22:36-38).
So if you don’t put God first and love him wholeheartedly, and instead put your family, your job/money, your possessions, an artist or Kpop idol, or even yourself first in your life, you are breaking the most important law every second of your life. It’s a good thing to love your neighbour, but God expects your love first and foremost.
So, after hearing all this, do you still want to take the chance and face God on judgement day with your own ‘good works’ and ‘kind personality’? Good luck.
He is a just God. God wouldn’t be ‘good’ if he didn’t care for justice. Many people ask “why doesn’t God just stop all the evil”, but the only way he could do so is by eradicating the human race. We all sin and are evil at our core. We may appear as a decent human being and fool others, but God sees how disgusting and dark we are on the inside.
THANKFULLY, God loved us so much that he decided to come down and be born as a human so he could die in your place (John 3:16). IF you believe in him, Jesus has already bore your sins and your punishment on the cross, and now you can put on his righteousness. Even though you committed the crime, Jesus paid your fee so you don’t have to do the time. You can look forward to being raised again and living with him forever, with a new body that cannot sin. No more suffering or death.
That’s what the gospel (good news) is about. It’s a free gift, one that none of us could ever deserve. But if you want to try to earn it, then God will judge you righteously regarding everything you’ve done in your life, so choose wisely. For every one good thing you think you did, you probably had 10 bad thoughts and intentions in it’s place. Doing a nice thing with a hateful or unwilling heart doesn’t please God either. Our so called ‘goodness’ is but filthy rags to him (Isaiah 64:6).
It really is that simple: Believe, put your faith in Jesus, and you will be saved. There’s no other way.
The next question people tend to ask is, “Do we have to keep the laws and do good things to be saved?” The answer is “No”. You could never earn it. Since your salvation falls on Jesus alone, nothing you do or don’t do has any weight. We’re either saved by faith in Jesus or our own works, it can’t be both. So if we believe in Jesus Christ, we are technically free to live how we want and can still go to heaven.
HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE TRULY SAVED, you would also be sealed with the Holy Spirit who has taken residence inside you. With a new heart and mind, the sanctification process begins (2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Corinthians 6, Philippians 1:6, Ephesians 4:20-24). If you have truly repented (that means “change of mind”), then you will see God, sin, and your life differently than before, and you’ll desire to live according to God’s word. With a new found love for God and gratefulness for what Jesus did for you, it’s impossible to keep living the way you used to.
BUT, that doesn’t mean Christians are instantly good or perfect. Our spirit may have changed, but we still have to fight against our sinful bodies and our wretched minds (Romans 7:15-25). This is why bible reading, spending time with God in prayer, learning from other believers and so on is vital for spiritual growth. The more a Christian understands God’s heart and begins to love his law that was meant for our own good, the easier it becomes to walk in his ways. Sin isn’t very appealing, and we mourn when we sin and fail.
God knows we will fail though, and as adopted children of God, He will forgive, comfort, encourage, guide, and discipline if necessary. Like any good father, He’s not going to disown or condemn you just cause you mess up or rebel (Romans 8:1). He knows we can’t be good on our own, so he helps us, re-directs us, and is pleased with our efforts to obey him. But at the end of the day, our efforts have no weight on our salvation at the end of the day.
The bible says salvation is a “free gift” (Ephesians 2:8-9). It wouldn’t be “free” if it is conditional on our behaviour.. God saved us first, and then gives us his laws so we can maintain a better relationship with him while also reflecting him to the world so others could be saved too. That’s what he did when he freed Israel from Egypt, and that’s what he does for Christians too.
God always extends his hand first, and if we accept his offer of Salvation, he will then establish his covenant. He created the covenant of marriage, and divorce was never part of his plan. Once saved, we are joined with Christ as his bride, the church (Ephesians 5:25) and sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30).
We as humans may take back what we say, but thankfully, God isn’t like us. Numbers 29:13 says “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?”
Humans may try to add laws and conditions, create mandatory traditions, complicate and distort the gospel, but God said “Believe and be said”. He said what he said, and he meant it. End of story.
These Are The Last Days
Now, I know many may try to argue that the bible is corrupted, but that is far from the truth. Everything in the bible, even the flood and the parting of the red sea, has always been proven as fact thanks to archeologists. The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered around 1940/1950, and they contained untouched transcripts that when compared to the bible, were 99% the same. Biblical prophecy is also being fulfilled before our very eyes, word for word.
There is just so much evidence backing up the bible in this generation that anyone who seeks and researches seriously can see that it is true and historically accurate. Even this atheistic cold-case detective read the bible hoping to prove that the testimonies were false, but realized it’s true and converted! And countless, COUNTLESS non-Christians (especially Muslims) were approached by Jesus in dreams and visions, and could deny it no longer.
People believe in a God not because we are desperate for hope or crazy, not because we are ignorant and don’t wanna study, but because it makes sense as he is real. In my philosophy class, the non-theistic people couldn’t even answer any of life’s big questions, but the theistic philosophers could.
Science says everything has a start and a cause, yet they try to say the big bang just…happened. There is so much order and intelligent design that it is impossible for it to be an accident. If a book can’t write itself, nor a computer code itself, what makes you think cells, the solar system, and the universe just magically came to be?
And then if humans were just evolved from apes, why do we wear clothes? Why do we have court systems when every other animal can kill for survival and not be punished? Nothing really makes sense without God in the picture, because God is in the picture. Believing in the big bang and evolution requires way more blind faith than creationism.
But if you didn’t know, the bible talks about adaptation and evolution within a species in Genesis. Genesis 1:24 says “And God make the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind”, so God said one feline can become the various types of cats we have today, but both the bible and science reject the idea that a fish could turn into a mammal. Evolution is just a theory.
But this is Satan’s world, and it’s his mission to make you either hate God, reject the idea of God, or worship some other god. He’ll come up with whatever ideas he needs to make people question and doubt God, and create a world where we don’t feel we need god, and even push us to try to become gods. And yes, people are actually trying to be gods or call themselves gods. Satan tempted Eve with that idea, and he does the same now. This whole world is built on lies, we are in the matrix.
I’ve spoken to so many non-Christians, including friends and classmates, that have their own ideas of how god operates and how we are to live, but their beliefs are based on just ideas and feelings. If you ask for a few more details, they usually can’t explain it thoroughly or logically. Christianity, on the other hand, can be defended with history, evidence, logic, and so much more, so it really is worth checking out if you don’t know what you really believe or where you’ll end up.
Time is running out. Literally. Even the man-made doomsday clock only has a couple minutes left. Many know that something is wrong with our planet, but they don’t know why or what’s happening. Those in power are trying to control us even more thus AI and chips, and we’ll be like China in no time. The World Economic Forum with The Great Reset, and The United Nations with their SDG plan are all counting down to 2030. Very sus.
Ironically, everything we’re seeing has been prophesized in the bible thousands of years ago, from wars and rumours of wars, to natural disasters in various places, to pestilences and famines, to even the rise in crime causing hearts to grow cold, and people being lovers of themselves (Matthew 24, Timothy 3, 1 Thessalonians 5, etc). Even the advancement of technology and a future world monetary system where ‘no one can buy or sell unless they take the mark’ (Revelation 13:17).
But God tell us 365 in his Word to not worry, as he will keep us safe. He told us he will come back for us and that those who love him will escape what is to come (1 Thessalonians 4:17, Revelation 3:10, Luke 21:36). So I have peace and hope….but do you?
God is a gentleman and he is knocking at your door. At least consider opening your heart and mind to a genuine and unbiased conversation with Him. If you look for God earnestly, He will reveal himself to you. He does truly love you, so much that He died for you (John 3:16). He wants to have a real relationship with you, to guide your steps, and comfort you as you go through this hard, depressing life….
But if you hate and reject him, he will respect your decision, so much so that he won’t force you to spend eternity with him. But if you’re not in heaven with him, there’s only one place to go, and that’s away from any of his presence of goodness like sunlight and tasty food that you can still taste on this earth (Matthew 5:45).
This is more than a life or death issue, it’s an eternal life issue, a final destination issue. So please consider what I’m saying seriously. There is so much free knowledge out there if you just take some time to look with an unbiased heart and an open mind.
Final Words
All in all, I’m looking forward to exploring Japanese Christian music, collaborating with others who are sharing the faith in the community, and assisting with evangelism and missionary efforts, both in my own country and abroad in Japan.
For my non-Christian readers, if the article isn’t clearly labeled as faith related, you don’t have to worry about me jumping in with the gospel and trying to influence you. As I said earlier, it’s not my job to convert you, and I wouldn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable…but I do hope you’ll check out the other articles, even if it’s just out of curiosity or boredom.
If you ever wanna know more, please read my Christian Journal page and/or send me an email or message on Instagram and I would love to spend however many hours or days listening, responding, explaining and providing whatever you need to at least consider that Jesus and Christianity is based in truth and totally worth living for.
Christians are not promised an easy, prosperous life here (I mean…Jesus who we look to was persecuted and crucified after all. We are told to pick up our cross and follow him [Matthew 16:24]), but this life is but a vapour in comparison to eternity. God’s kingdom that Jesus told us about will be waaay better than anything you can imagine, and there will be no more death, sorrow, or tears~
Thanks to all that have read and supported this blog over the last few years. I hope you’ll continue to support as I go in this new direction <3
Sincerely, Nostalgia
